Program Director

The Program Director position provides direction, development, implementation, direct supervision, and monitoring (observation and evaluation of Direct Support Professionals implementing care, service plans and interaction with the residents) to the residential services that GREAT DAY RESIDENTIAL provides. This position has responsibility for approving assessments and individual service plans or treatment plans to ensure the appropriate services are provided to meet the needs of the individuals’ receiving services.

The Program Director, who is a qualified QMRP/QIDP, must have documented experience developing, conducting, and approving assessments and individual service plan treatment plans. Requirements The Program Director is responsible for carrying out the day-to-day functions within the residential setting. This includes securing the well-being and safety of the residents, supervising Direct Support Professionals, and providing temporary coverage as needed. Responsibilities also include the report and maintenance of repairs to the house, the vehicle, appliances, and equipment.

The Program Director is under the direct supervision of the Executive Directors.

The Program Director will be responsible for:

-Overall management of the home, ensuring coverage and supervision of all residents and staff, and providing temporary coverage as needed.

-Development, conduction and approval of ISP and assessments for each individual in the home.

-Implementation and documentation of the residential ISP goals.

-Providing support and guidance to the individuals in the home, to ensure that the home, the appliances, the vehicles, and the equipment is safe, operational and in good working order.

-Supervising and monitoring individuals and their engagement in meaningful activities that address ISP outcomes.

- Ensuring that the fundamental rights of each adult in the home are protected. -Assuming responsibility for the individuals in the house during the day when they are unable to attend the day program, school or work (e.g. for illness, inclement weather, etc.). Other duties, as assigned.

Program Directors are bound by a 24-hour shift. Hours and duties vary depending upon specific circumstances.

Minimum qualifications include:

-At least one year of documented experience working directly with individuals who have intellectual disabilities or other developmental disabilities and one of the following credentials:

- A Doctor of Medicine or osteopathy licensed in Virginia - A registered nurse licensed in Virginia, or - Completion of at least a bachelor’s degree in a human services field, including, but not limited to; sociology, social work, special education, rehabilitation counseling, or psychology.

Consideration may be made in lieu of the educational component if the applicant has equivalent experience, characterized by:

-At least 5 years of paid experience in providing direction, development and implementation, direct supervision, and monitoring (observation and evaluation of staff implementing care, service plans and interacting with residents) to the service provided. Documented experience must be provided that demonstrates the applicants experience developing, conducting and approving assessments and individual service plans or treatment plans. This position is under the direct supervision of the Senior Program Director and the Executive Director.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
