Reports to Property Manager/Superintendent
Employment Status- Non-Exempt (Full time)
General Responsibilities
Perform adequate and efficient housekeeping duties to assure cleanliness of all building common areas, halls, basement, stairways, trash rooms and other public areas (bathrooms, office space, etc.)
Specific Functions:
  • Sweep all public areas daily
  • Wet mop public areas several time per week depending on usage and appearance
  • Clean laundry rooms weekly, removing lint from dryers daily
  • Clean interior and exterior light fixtures
  • Clean mailboxes, common area wall, elevator walls
  • Wash lobby windows and glass doors
  • Remove graffiti inside and out
  • Perform custodial and janitorial tasks including washing windows, stripping wax from floors, applying solvents and solutions, etc.
  • Assist tenants in moving in and out of building
  • Pick up litter inside buildings and on grounds
  • Sort recycling and put trash out for pick up
  • Clean and disinfect trash room and garbage chute rooms.
  • Perform ground maintenance including litter removal, lawn mowing, raking and bagging, trimming shrubs and trees, removing of snow and ice, spreading salt, etc.
  • Report building damage and vandalism, unusual circumstances and unsafe conditions to Resident Manager/Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent.
Physical Requirements:
Able to lift 50lbs, standing, walking, climbing stairs, operate required equipment such as mops, brooms, lawn equipment, buffing machines, electric powered tools, climbing ladders, operate elevators.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $21-$24 Hourly
