Graybar Electric Co Inc is Hiring a Part-Time Mailroom Coordinator Near Centerpoint, IN
Make a difference. As a Mail Room Coordinator, you will ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are in operating condition. You will perform daily functions of the Mail Room, and process all payroll and AP checks for distribution. In this role you will: Assist with the sorting, filing, pick-up and delivery of interoffice mail, incoming mail, and notices; ensure proper methods of packing parcels, and determine best and proper shipping methods; physically lift, move, and transport packages to post office if necessary; trace/track all lost shipments Process and distribute payroll and AP checks under the guidance of a payroll person Maintain postage records for metered postage; keep inventory of certified cards, custom forms, and UPS stickers Train Mail Room personnel on all branch and district locations, efficient routing of mail, use of scale on postage machine, proper postage requirements for domestic and foreign mail, use of folding and inserting machine Account for postage, and advise in a timely manner of need for additional postage, and conduct semiannual inventory of envelope stock What you bring to the table: 2 years Mail Room experience preferred High school diploma or GED preferred Ability to lift and move up to 70 pounds without assistance, as well as walk, bend, twist, squat, stoop, sit and stand for extended periods of time Experience with general office equipment, postage machines, personal computers, folding and inserting machinery Knowledge of basic postal regulations Knowledge of Microsoft Office Organizational, active listening, and follow-up skills Reading and mathematical skills Ability to work under minimum supervision Why should you join Graybar?
