Gravis Law, PLLC is Hiring an Office Manager Near Richland, WA

Description

The Legal Office Manager coordinates the day-to-day operations of the office. They ensure smooth and effective operations, from managing office resources and events to handling client relations. The position will work alongside the attorneys and paralegals to facilitate quality service for clients that will include a wide range of tasks. This position requires an experienced office administrator who has a history of increasing responsibilities and accountability within an office or firm, is a good communicator, and exhibits strong organizational skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Staffing the front desk to assist any visitors to the office and maintain cleanliness of common areas.
  • Manages the daily operations of information systems. Use legal technology systems to help staff and clients including assisting others in effectively using these systems. 
  • Coordinate between remote and in-office staff to maintain office presence during business hours.
  • Assists in Training staff regarding firm procedures and information systems.
  • Maintains a professional and positive work environment by facilitating effective communication and information sharing among professional, paraprofessional, management, and support staff.
  • Manages schedules and appointments including trial dates and hearings, and meetings and travel.
  • Travels to Court when requested to file documents with the Clerk of the Court.
  • Delivers and serve documents on opposing counsel.
  • Scanning, filing, and routing documents, letters, and other correspondence.
  • Taking payments and managing bank deposits.
  • Prepares client file(s) for upcoming meetings between attorney and client and deliver file(s) to attorney in advance of the meeting.
  • Punctual attendance to ensure that time-sensitive matters are completed by the required deadlines.
  • Performs other administrative and clerical duties as assigned.

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS*:

  • 5-10 years of progressively responsible professional experience in an office setting.
  • Minimum of 2 years of college, will consider experience in place of education. 
  • Computer literacy 
  • General Microsoft Office experience
  • Word processing
  • Case management software
  • E-mail composition & general functionality
  • Cooperation and the ability to collaborate in a team and cross-office setting. 
  • Ability to solve problems and use sound judgment in dealing with highly confidential information.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation a must, local travel will be required.
  • Understanding of the legal process, willingness to learn. Experience in a legal office setting preferred. 
  • Must have a positive and willing attitude; and a desire to be part of a growing legal practice that takes pride in making the legal system uncomplicated, approachable, and accessible to everyone.

Wage: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour 

WORK ENVIRONMENT/CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Duties will be performed in a standard office environment. Employees must have the ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with Gravis policy. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will occasionally be required to work weekends, holidays, be on call, and some employees could be required to travel overnight on occasion.
