Position Summary

The Vinyl Graphics Installer I is an entry level to mid-level position that is responsible for installing vinyl to vehicles, walls, floors, etc. This includes vehicle wrapping, lettering, and fleet graphics. Regularly assists in other areas of sign fabrication. 

Essential Functions

• Follows company procedures and reads work order tickets. 
• Uses appropriate power and hand tools to do wrapping and lettering of vehicles and follows all manufacturer’s specifications and uses proper P.P.E. as appropriate. 
• May remove existing wraps from various substrates. 
• Responsible for going to various client installs to install wall graphics. 
• Participates in site visits, as needed, and read plans and surveys. 
• When on client installations, ensures work site is clean and free of debris prior to departure. Takes pictures of final product prior to departure. 
• Posts all materials and labor to work orders daily. 
• Assists with cutting and wedding vinyl, decals, lettering, laminating vinyl etc. according to the job ticket.
• Ensures that company vehicles are fully prepared before an on-site installations by loading tools, materials, maps, directions and any other necessary equipment related to the installation process. 
• Ensures that pictures of the completed installation project are taken prior to departure.
• Works closely with Signage Designers to ensure job has met specifications. 
• Notifies GM, Signs in a timely manner of any materials that are required of a job. 
• Assists other signage installers in installing of signs. 
• Responsible for general duties in the sign shop surrounding sign fabrication including some woodworking, etc. 
• Assists with inventory of consumables including ink, vinyl’s, metals, paint, etc. 
• Cleans equipment and work area; assists in maintaining a neat work area including vehicles.
• Complete Vehicle Safety Checks and communicate issues to GM of Signs.
• Adheres to all safety regulations including, but not limited to, OSHA, Air Lift Safety operations, State motor vehicle laws, etc. 
• Cross trained as needed in other areas of the Business.
• Assures the product being installed is the best quality possible.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• High school diploma/GED preferred. 
• Previous experience with vinyl application strongly preferred. 
• Experience working in a production or manufacturing setting strongly preferred. 
• Very good attention to detail required.
• Ability to use and comfort with hand tools and power tools and use proper P.P.E.
• Comfort working from heights.
• Valid Driver’s License with no moving violations in 3 years (Graphcom will run annual MVR checks). 
• Medical Certification card required to operate boom truck. 
• Cross trained as needed in other areas of Company.
