The Registered Nurse evaluates, defines, coordinates and administers the total nursing care of an assigned group of home health patients. The RN is responsible for the written nursing care plan, acts as the patient advocate and is responsible for the direction and supervision of any personnel assigned to them. The RN informs the physician and other personnel of changes in the patient's condition and needs, counsels the patient and family in meeting nursing and related needs. This RN will need to be competent to care for patients of all ages. This RN is directly responsible to the Manager of Home Care Services.
