Graepel North America is Hiring a Maintenance Technician Near Omaha, NE
POSITION SUMMARYThe Production and Maintenance Associate will primarily be involved in the daily operation of work centers on the production floor and the maintenance associated with them. In addition, the position involves working with the LEAN Manager to develop LEAN principles within the day-to-day operations, production, and administrative functions of the organization. The duties involve establishing 5S in all work areas and total preventative maintenance methods to avoid machine down time.

Essential Functions Statements
- Knowledge of metal fabrication equipment and hands-on operation metal fabrication machines.
- Identify, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and simple electrical problems on production equipment.
- Experience with Machine Guarding safety features.
- Assist Lean Manager with implementing LEAN methods throughout facility including 5S processes.
- Work with process improvement teams to emphasize effective workplace ergonomics.
- Assist Lean Manager with establishing total preventative maintenance (TPM) at workstations.
- Setup tools, dies, and other production necessities to produce “0 defect” parts.
- Assist with the maintenance and repairs on tools, dies, and machines, coordinate excessive die repair with external tool and die shops. Maintain accurate records of equipment repairs.
- Work a regular schedule determined by supervisory management
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:
- High School Degree or equivalent required.
Experience:
- Experience in manufacturing; metal fabrication preferred.
- Understanding of OSHA requirements preferred.
- 3-5 years minimum experience in metal fabrication including machine operation and tooling.
- Ability to understand technical drawings
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Highly motivated and willing to work extended hours
- Ability to work independently
