Job Title: Head of School 

Manager/Director: Lead Pastor (Chancellor), Executive Pastor (Superintendent) and Board of Elders (BOE)

Purpose of the Job:

• Provide spiritual and educational leadership to the school. Oversees day-to-day direction and operation of the school.

Experience and Knowledge Required:

• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, written and organizational skills
• Projects a professional and confident image, able to handle a stressful pace
• Ability to handle confidential information
• Basic understanding of accounting methods
• Proven leadership skills
• Ability to work in a multi-task environment
• Strong administrative abilities
• Steady, positive attitude, people-oriented, and a team player,
• Familiar with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Detail-oriented, creative, ability to learn new software applications
• Willingness to work after hours or on weekends when needed
• Strong work ethic, commitment to excellence

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Maintain the vision and direction of Berean while remaining in alignment with Grace Fellowship’s vision
• Oversee cohesive Curriculum plan from Preschool to High School
• Approve all extracurricular activities
• Oversee evaluations of teachers, curriculum, and classroom management
• Recruit and develop great teachers
• Hire faculty and administration in alignment with the requirements laid out by Grace Fellowship’s Board of Elders
• Conduct regularly scheduled administrative meetings
• Provide the Board of Elders with a report on spiritual climate, goals, and long-range planning for the school
• Maintain accurate personnel records in an orderly and accessible manner

Professional Qualifications:

• Minimum education requirement of master’s degree in educational administration/supervision or equivalent
• At least three (3) years of experience in education administration
