GovSpend is Hiring an Enterprise Sales Executive Near Boca Raton, FL

GovSpend provides detailed federal, state, and local government purchasing data, bids, contacts, and contract information to a wide array of government vendors. We serve nearly 4,500 clients ranging from large enterprise customers to small regional vendors.

GovSpend helps our clients navigate the government selling landscape by providing them with invaluable information to better inform their bids and ultimately win more business. Our core product offering is line-item state and local government procurement and spending data, which is unique to the market and was the only solution we sold until 2018. In recent years, we have added new products including federal data via our acquisition of Fedmine, bid notifications to alert vendors of new formal spending opportunities, and detailed contact information.

Position Summary:

The Enterprise Sales Executive is responsible for driving new business with both current clients and new logo prospects. This position requires dynamic sales expertise with large complex organizations and experience working with executive management. Diagnostic or consultative selling skills are a must as you’ll be working across multiple teams inside Fortune 500 businesses and across Government Agencies. 

What you’ll do:

  • Generate business opportunities through professional, dedicated prospecting and cold-calling.
  • Develop a pipeline of viable opportunities that exceed quota, and keep abreast of prospects.
  • Own entire sales cycle including; discovery, product recommendations, negotiating, and closing to generate new business.
  • Drive all aspects of the sales cycle including, proposals, scoping, pricing and contract negotiations, etc. 
  • Complete product demonstrations and credibly discuss the value associated with our product. 
  • Create demand by uncovering business problems and matching them to our solution.
  • Partner with internal resources in order to drive additional value and expertise.
  • Other job duties as assigned to meet the business needs.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related area. Proven work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 5 years of high-value software sales experience. Government Agency and Non-Financial Corporate experience is a plus!
  • Experience selling to C-level executives. 
  • Ability to travel as needed. 
  • Ability to define new models and processes from the ground up and operate at scale.
  • Adapt to changing technology and familiarity with CRM software.
  • Demonstrated ability to be an effective, influential negotiator.
  • Ability to make effective decisions.
  • Strong computer navigation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
