In the PMO Manager role, you will provide thought leadership and process guidance to implementation teams focused on delivering innovative Tax software solutions to our customers. You will create process methodology and supporting tools/templates/documentation to guide our teams to deliver top quality implementation services while maintaining adherence to project schedules and budgets. You will also be responsible for monitoring the teams’ process adherence through operational metrics related to project scope, budget, and quality. You will be expected to conduct regular assessments of the implementation process and supporting toolset with a continuous focus on improvement.
Candidates must have outstanding leadership, communication, and business process re-engineering skills, with a strong background in implementation project management and process design & improvement. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday with up to 25% travel.
· Creation, implementation, and management of templates and methodology best practices across the implementation organization.
· Identify opportunities to drive higher quality software implementations, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.
· Lead the development and rollout of new implementation tools, processes, and training across the Tax Vertical.
· Assist in developing resource/capacity planning processes for cross-functional implementation resources.
· Assist in developing accurate revenue and expense forecasting processing and tracking mechanisms.
· Work with implementation team members to develop and maintain pre-sales supporting materials for large, enterprise deals, specifically related to implementation artifacts (resource/staffing estimates, sample project schedules, methodology overviews, etc.)
· Work closely with the Implementation Leadership team to support process training for implementation team members.
· Regularly monitor process adherence, effectiveness, and accuracy
· Other duties may be assigned, as necessary.
Requirements
Qualifications (Required)
· Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience with managing software implementations and/or professional services.
· 2 years Project Management Office leadership experience.
· Proven success in implementing multi-year, multi-million-dollar, enterprise implementation projects.
· Ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
· Strong risk/issue assessment and mitigation skills.
· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project and/or Smartsheet or other PM Tool.
· Excellent time management skills.
· Exceptional documentation and process design skills.
· Strong interpersonal, team-building skills.
· PMP Certification.
· Ability to travel (up to 25%).
· MBA
· Experience in county/local tax collection and billing system
· Experience with Jira
· Experience with Smartsheet
· Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology
· Basic understanding of Windows development techniques and Microsoft development tools/ environments
