GOPUFF is Hiring an Area Manager Near Los Angeles, CA

The Area Manager is responsible for achieving revenue, order volume, controllable expenses and delivering the people and customer experience in their area. The position works closely with the Store Leaders to analyze business trends, identify opportunities, and develop plans to maximize performance in all stores. Ensures store operations directives are being properly executed, that stores are adequately staffed, develops talent and builds a pipeline of future leaders The Area Manager works with the Regional Manager to build and execute area strategies that improve performance. The position effectively communicates strategic and tactical plans to store-level leadership and ensure execution of plans. Regularly visits stores providing feedback to the teams ensuring operational standards are met and the people and customer experience is being delivered. Provides validated feedback on chain-wide opportunities and proactively problem solves.Key Roles and Responsibilities:Leadership● Model company values in all action, communication and decision-making● Establishes clear expectations and assesses Store Leader’s performance through consistent observation, feedback, accountability, and coaching. Creates developmental/performance plans as needed, and provides ongoing training regularly● Recruits and hires top talent at all levels. Develops strategy to retain high performing store leaders● Builds loyalty among the team through motivating and compelling communication. Inspires collaboration and cooperation in others● Develops Store Leaders and teams through consistent store visits, management meetings, and touch bases while providing continuous feedback● Creates and ensures an environment where all associates are treated fairly and respectfully● Sets the standard and models exceptional customer service. Inspires team to build relationshipswith customers and identifies and removes distractions that could minimize effectivenessOperations● Consistently monitors payroll and looks for opportunities. Coaches Store Leaders to ensure service and selling are not compromised and payroll is leveraged to maximize performance● Make recommendations for schedule adjustments as necessary● Review P L and identifies opportunities to reduce expenses and ensure goals are met. Manageand control shrink● Ensure merchandising/display/marketing standards are maintained, and stocking/replenishmentstandards are met● Ensure proper standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and organization in all stores● Identifies and communicates opportunities to streamline and update policies and procedures● Ensure consistent operational compliance/consistency and follows up through routine visits andtouch bases● Provide direction as necessary to Store Leaders to improve time management and prioritizebusiness needsKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)● Achieve employee retention and engagement levels at or above industry average● Achieve Company goals in the following areas:- Overall Customer Satisfaction (OSAT) & Customer Unhappiness ➢ Financial Performance- Shrink- P90 Delivery Time- Mispack Rate- Controllable expensesCompliance● Ensure the area operates in accordance with company policies, as well as in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including ABC, Food Handling and Weights and Measures regulations● Establish and maintains a safe work environmentCustomer Experience• Sets the standard and models exceptional customer service. Inspires team to build relationships with customers and identifies and removes distractions that could minimize effectiveness• Ensure stores are consistently driving the customer experience by executing sales and customer service programs• Provide feedback and recommendations to Service Center business partners on ways to improve the customer experienceSkills Required:• Business Acumen: Make sound business decisions based on a strong understanding of the company’s business model, strategic goals and relevant policies, as well as best practices and current technologies in their own discipline or functional area• Team Building: Enable and encourage group members to work together to complete tasks and accomplish goals that individual members could not accomplish alone• Leadership Maturity: Serve as a role model for performance and organizational behavior by demonstrating humility, confidence, and courage• Leadership Communication: Generate a shared commitment to the organization, building morale and encouraging ownership of mission, goals, and values• Process Management: Take a systematic approach in contributing to making the company's workflow more effective, efficient, and capable of adapting to an ever-changing environment• Leading Change: Effectively create a vision for change and engage others to implement thechange process• Deliberative Decision Making: Gather, consider, and evaluate all relevant information to makelogical conclusions before being moved to action• Decisiveness: take calculated risks by making decisions and taking action, even in the absence ofall informationEducation & Experience:● 5 years of experience in retail management● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experienceBenefitsWe want to help our employees stay safe and healthy!
