Gopher Sport is looking for passionate, experienced candidates to join our HR team as an HR Generalist with a Recruiting emphasis.

Description
Recruits for all open positions and partners with Hiring Managers to hire the best candidates for open roles. Partners with various leaders throughout the company to ensure company standards and policies and HR best practices maximize employee ROI. Administers human resources policies and procedures.

What will you be doing? 

  • Quickly and cost-effectively fills open positions with high-performing team members that meet the expectations of the position(s) and fit the Gopher Sport culture. 
  • Manage the entire on-boarding process of new hires to ensure successful integration into the organization.
    Develop and execute effective recruiting and company promotion activities.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of employee records
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the HR Manager
  • Responsible for the company policy handbook.
  • Ensure that Gopher Sport is in compliance with all applicable laws. Administer, report, comply and coordinate anything needed for maintaining compliance.
  • Serves as payroll and benefits backup in the absence of the Payroll and Benefits Administrator.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, preferred.
  • Minimum 4-6 years success in a Generalist and Recruiting roles. 
  • Previous experience with a third-party payroll processing/HRIS vendor, preferred. 
  • Proficiency with HR-specific and general business software (specifically Microsoft Office) 
  • Strong understanding of the design, structure, functions and reporting from HR. software and applications.
  • Strong understanding of eligibility, enrollment rules and benefit procedures.
  • Thorough knowledge of compliance, applicable laws and regulations. 
  • PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification or commitment to become certified within one year of employment.
