Responsibilities

Summary/Objective

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the HR Business Partner will be responsible for performing and providing oversight in a variety of HR functions including strategic planning, engagement initiatives, performance management, HR systems, reporting and analytics, employee relations and on-boarding of new employees.

• Coaching and consulting leadership about HR topics and provide daily HR guidance.• Availability for scheduled site visits as required. • Implementing and administering rewards and recognition programs to increase employee engagement• Champion of organizational culture and the employee experience. Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention. • Lead employee wellness, diversity and inclusion, and talent management initiatives.• Ensure HR policies and processes are consistently administered Agency wide.• Provide coaching and conflict resolution to managers and employees and work with the HR team to make recommendations for improvement.• Resolves complex employee relations issues and grievances• Participate and conduct investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth.• Make discipline decisions for front line employees.• Process unemployment claims and participate in appeals as needed along with maintaining electronic records of cases.• Analyzing trends and metrics with the HR department• Attend trainings and seminars to stay current in HR laws, legislation and trends.• Leads and administers the performance management process across the firm and manages continuous improvement in the overall process and systems.• Monitor and report on workforce and succession planning.• Knowledge and Administration of all leave of absence plans such as FMLA, LOA, Worker’s Compensation• Manages various ADA issues.• Knowledge and administration of benefit plans• Partners with management on employee experience, engagement, and retention.• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations; existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to the requirements; advising management on needed actions. • Provides oversight to our HR Coordinator in the areas of on-boarding, off-boarding, HRIS and performance management administration.• Assist and support the recruiting process. Post vacancies, conduct phone screens, set interview appointments and complete onboarding process with new employees and in partnership with Retail Recruiter.• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously• All other duties as assigned

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment. Requires routine Store visits.

Physical Demand

Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and quantitative productivity standards.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work/Travel

This is a full-time position. Work hours are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., however some flexibility of the schedule is permissible with supervisor approval. Occasional night-time or weekend work may be required. Day-time travel to locations supported is required. Occasional overnight travel may be required but limited to only two or three times per year.

Qualifications

The Human Resource Business Partner will be a proven leader with the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related discipline preferred. Experience will be considered in lieu of education.• PHR/SPHR preferred• Knowledge of local, state, and federal employment law and regulations.• Effective communication skills and a collaborative, flexible style, capable of partnering with others• Proven capability to engage with, counsel and influence top management decisions• Strong computer skills in the use of the Microsoft Office suite• Excellent analytical skills• A hands-on philosophy, with integrity and a desire to serve in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.• Experience, commitment and proficiency in developing talent• Clean MVR
