Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Oversee the behavior of all hourly personnel, and be responsible for operating a safe, clean, and friendly place of business.
2. Required to work one weekend day per month, and one close shift per week (unless otherwise approved by supervisor).
3. To act in a leadership capacity demonstrating professional behavior and decision making, effective interpersonal communication skills, and setting an example for all Goodwill staff.
4. Meet all store sales and production goals.
5. Provide excellent customer service, including greeting and assisting customers and donors promptly.
6. Responsible for developing store operating plans.
7. On a regular basis read, understand and analyze store reports.
8. Responsible for maintaining a store standard of cleanliness, organization, physical repair and safe place of business.
9. Accurately complete the daily, weekly and monthly reports on time.
10. Assist in maintaining daily and weekly cash handling and banking procedures.
11. Maintain merchandising standards in stocking and re-sets, following sizing, categorizing and pricing guidelines. Maintain all backroom operating standards.
12. Contribute as much as possible to the development and character of staff and perform written employee evaluations.
13. Implement and enforce store procedures and Goodwill policy on a day-to-day basis.
14. Perform administrative and clerical duties of store operations as necessary.
15. Responsible for fulfilling all frontline staff duties as needed
16. Adhere to established store hours and check security of building upon opening and closing.
17. Ensure store safety and security.
18. Ensure full completion of staff training and support opportunities for cross training for all
staff.
19. Follow Goodwill safety practices.
20. Comply with Goodwill attendance and punctuality standards of behavior.
21. Effectively communicate the mission of Goodwill to customers and donors.
22. Promote and support Goodwill activities and initiatives.

Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or two years of college preferred with extraordinary managerial experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree. Some front-line retail and managerial experience also required. Must have valid Driver’s License as well as reliable personal transportation (personal vehicle).
