POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the VP - Financial Planning and Analysis, the Sr. Financial Analyst will provide strategic financial analytical support to the organization. The candidate will directly interact with all levels of the organization to ensure complete success of the function. Collects, prepares and analyzes financial data from across the organization to create reports that provide data-driven answers to business questions. The focus areas are the annual budget, monthly Board financial packet and the monthly and quarterly financial forecast update process.

Depending on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinates divisional collaboration in the annual budgeting Includes maintaining budgeting and forecasting software.
• Tracks and measures outcomes from the monthly financial performance.
  • Reviews variances and supports the process to analyze and explain the variance
  • Works closely with the accounting department during month-end close to ensure accurate financial reports
  • Provides detailed variance reporting to financial leadership
• Periodic work with the operating teams to establish the financial outlook:
  • Requires the ability to understand the various businesses and to assist the operating teams to re-establish the forecast outlook in a realistic way
  • Identifies areas of challenge in ability to perform to budget – works closely with leadership to understand and establish mitigation plans as appropriate
• Streamlines reporting processes for maximum efficiency through close collaboration with financial leadership.
• Build and / or use Excel models to support fact-based decision making. Examples include providing pro forma modeling of significant changes in how we do business, what-if scenario planning, store profitability analysis, or marketing campaign impact analysis.
• Collaborate cross departmentally to conceptualize goals and metrics
• Assists with the maintenance and control of revisions for SOPs and Policies and Procedures.
• Demonstrates ethics and complies with the Corporate Compliance Program.

 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university, preferably in business with finance and/or accounting emphasis.
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Advanced Excel required.
• Experience with financial analysis, financial modeling, profitability analysis and/or auditing techniques. DCF Analysis and NPV valuation.
• Two to five years of finance and accounting experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
• Exhibit respect for diversity of thought and have experience to advance it in teams/organization.
