SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Store Manager, oversee all aspects of Textile, Hard Goods, and New Goods production. Major duties include meeting production quotas, research incoming items and train and develop staff .
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
1. Supervise and coordinate established policies involving the production and shipping of textile product, Hard Goods and New Goods.
2. Responsible for training and developing processors to ensure that we are offering exceptional Donor service and that all Goodwill policies and procedures are being followed.
3. Supervise the donation attendants and processors in the receipt of inventory, stock rotations, color rotations, scheduled markdowns, and transfer of stock in accordance with the Organization’s procedures within your assigned areas.
4. Write employee performance reviews yearly and have the Store Manager review the evaluation before it is given.
5. Address minor disciplinary infractions/absentee policy with approved documentation.
6. Assure that production quotas are met; responsible for the quality and quantity of textile and hard goods product produced.
7. Research incoming items and assign appropriate cost.
8. Work in collaboration with the Operations Assistant Manager to ensure ShopGoodwill.com and Winter Park Quotas are met on a monthly basis.
9. Responsible for staff compliance with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and procedures for Public Protection.
10. Responsible for training and developing Donation Attendants and processors to ensure that we are offering exceptional Donor service and that all Goodwill policies and procedures are being followed.
11. Responsible for ensuring all Hazmat materials are properly handled and that your staff is properly trained on how to handle these materials.
12. Write schedule’s and monitor all department hours to ensure a cost effective operation.
13. Promote good housekeeping, security and safety practices are observed in all related areas. Ensure that all areas of the back room meet 5S Standards
14. Inspect equipment (forklift, stacker, baler, etc.) used in production area to ensure it is working properly.
15. Identify any Maintenance concerns and enter them into the work order system within 24 hours
16. Responsible for updating PBL board on a daily basis to ensure accurate reporting
17. Communicate and collaborate effectively with other departments to ensure all merchandise is put on the sales floor in a timely manner.
18. Maintain 5S Audit Program in regards to Kaizen.
19. Responsible for opening and closing the store as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES

3. Knowledge of production, inventory and quality control and the ability to compile and analyze data for reporting systems.
4. Ability to work independently with minimal instruction and or direction from supervisor.
5. Maintain a proper and professional attitude when dealing with customers, clients and co-workers.
6. Ability to use Outlook, Word and Excel.
Education and/or Experience:
High School education or equivalent is required. A minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience. Prefer previous retail and/or stock handling experience. Prefer working experience with people who have disabilities and/or previous Goodwill experience.
Math Ability:
Level 1: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have beginner knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to conduct research on items via the Internet.

This position has supervisory responsibilities but no subordinate supervisors.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:
1. Regularly lift and /or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
2. Vision abilities required by this job include: close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
3. Standing and sitting for long periods of time.
4. Perform work outside and inside; exposure to weather conditions, dust, dirt, electricity, noise, fumes and chemicals.
5. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud (examples: metal can manufacturing department, large earth-moving equipment).
Language Ability:
Level 3: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups.
Reasoning Ability:
Level 2: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
License and Certifications:
Valid Florida Driver’s License with a clean driving record and current private auto insurance policy.
Active Forklift Certification.
