Golden State Foods is Hiring a Supply Planning Manager Near Frisco, TX

Overview

JOB SUMMARY: 

The position serves as the regular contact between QCD and customer supply chain teams to manage and coordinate the Master Inventory Listing, including rapid problem response and resolution, new inventory items and LTO schedules. You will support customers' inventory data systems, such as EDI Transmissions, weekly cycle counts, inventory coordination, product launches, stock recoveries. You will communicate changes and updates on all product lines with all QCD locations. You will represent QCD on all Customers Conference calls as QCD’s Planning/Purchasing Subject Matter Expert.

You will focus on developing KPI’s related to purchasing/planning accuracy and inventory reduction. Position works in collaboration with other departments including Customer Service and DC Operations to ensure the right product is in the right place at the right time in the right quantities to meet customer demand.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Supervises’ a Team of Supply Planning Supervisors, Demand Planners and Supply Planners responsible for all the proper ordering and inventory control functions for all 25 QCD Distribution Centers. To include mentoring, development of skills and training,performance reviews, balance and coordination of work flow, directs new assignments and projects and responsible for continuous improvement. 25%

  • Daily interface and Contact with Customers Supply Chain and Purchasing Teams via conference calls, direct phone calls, and email communication on all product related issues (stock recoveries) , promotions,new rollouts, pricing and serves as the Subject Matter Expert representing QCD on all Purchasing related matters. 30%

  • Coordinates and assists in the management of all new product rollouts with the QCD Distribution Centers and QCD Customer Service.15%

  • Responsible for the proper completion, coordination and reconciling of all QCD Quarterly Inventories.10%

  • Monitors QCD wide Inventory Levels for proper assured supply, inventory turns, and protects against loss for depleted items. 5%

  • Serves as the Subject Matter Expert to resolve situations that arise in reference to either product, supplier, EDI, PO’s or Carrier Issues. 5%

  • Works in conjunction with GSF and SBUX’s IT departments on system functionality and compatibility between the two operating systems. 5%

  • Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary. 5%

Responsibilities also include the following:

  • Assist in designing and refining inventory strategies/policies to determine cost-effective use of inventory investment while maximizing inventory turns and meeting supply chain objectives (inventory targets/turnover, obsolescence, etc).
  • Provide analysis of potential cost savings as it pertains to overall supply chain efficiency where forecasting and replenishment have a direct impact. (i.e. customer shipping points and interplant transfers)
  • Facilitate and direct day-to-day operations providing direction, recommended steps, and proactively escalate supply issues directly resulting in out of stocks.

LEADERSHIP/MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and experience equivalent to:

  • Educational experience to include a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics or related field’
  • 5 years of experience in supply chain management, demand planning, or inventory management required
  • Intermediate to Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel including data manipulation. In addition to reporting, a strong ability to handle ad hoc data analysis on short notice. (vlookup, Sumifs,pivot tables, etc.)
  • Oracle Demand Planning experience preferred and experience with JDE ERP system preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills; the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and an analytical, investigative approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating effective listening through concise, clear verbal, and written communication.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that inspire and build trust resulting in effective working relationships across the company.
  • Experience in problem identification, reporting, and presenting outcomes/progress to senior management. Strong ability to summarize and present ambiguous data concisely.
  • Comfortable working in a fast pace environment with changing priorities
