Summary:

Nisga’a TEK, LLC is seeking an Environmental Coordinator for our Aviation Maintenance Services contract located in Fort Benning. The Coordinator will maintain and direct programs, processes, procedures and systems to comply with Federal, State, and local laws as well as environmental regulations from other applicable agencies and to address potential environmental liabilities. 

Essential Job Functions:

• Inspect HW SAAs monthly and record inspections on the Fort Benning Hazardous Waste Site Inspection, FB Forms 46 
• Initiate corrective action based upon inspection findings. 
• Ensure spill response equipment and materials are maintained and procedures are posted
• Ensure required documentation and records are maintained in Waste Management Book, Site Specific Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan and Sustainability Books for life of contract then handed over to the government at end of contract 
• Assist the Contractor’s ECO with compliance with installation and Contractor environmental programs, plans and procedures 
• Communicate externally through the ECO 
• Receive EC appointment training initially and updates annually

Necessary Skills and Knowledge

• Excellent communication skills to translate environmental regulations and permit and plan requirements into understandable compliance guidance for EGTS Engineering and Operations.
• Apply writing skills to prepare and/or review compliance and regulatory documents. Excellent writing skills required.
• Ability to work in a functionally diverse Team environment.
• Strong team building skills and facilitation skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Two (2) years’ experience working on an environmental compliance program in an aviation maintenance organization

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate Degree
