Summary: 

The selected DevSecOps Engineer / Principal DevSecOps Engineer will provide support for the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program. The selected candidate will support the C2BMC DevSecOps team to develop and deploy Infrastructure as a Service and Platform as a Service capability. The selected candidate will assist in the system administration of multiple environments, software deployment, troubleshooting, and automation in a DevSecOps environment for a critical customer program. This requisition may be filled at either a DevSecOps Engineer or a Principal DevSecOps Engineer level. 

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions: 

• Work on systems administration related issues with hardware and software for different network environments.
• Support deployment of custom software solutions integrating COTS, GOTS, and developed software.
• Propose system administration process improvement to reduce overall maintenance requirements by working with the design team and manufacturers.
• Determine systems requirements, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and maintenance of system configuration.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve program support deficiencies. Develop and recommend corrective actions.
• May provide technical guidance for database administrators and software developers.
• The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills & Knowledge: 

• Knowledge of DevSecOps principals. 
• Experience with Linux and/or Windows System Administration.
• Experience and scripting skills in languages such as bash or PowerShell.
• Experience with automation.
• CompTIA Security (or equivalent) DoD 8570.01M IAT Level II – Certification. 

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and 0 years of related experience.
• A current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance is required to start. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and 3 years of related experience, or 0 years of experience with a PhD.
