Up to $30/hour plus $1 shift differential for hours worked between 6 pm - 6 am --- 12 hour shifts with rotating scheduleSUMMARYThis position is an entry level position. Employee works under the direction of the Foreman. Responsible to learn production sequence in order to effectively perform basic lubrication, oil changes, and PM (preventive maintenance) on conveyor system. Works efficiently, safely and with a minimum amount of disruption to the production process. Responsible for communicating important information and asking correct follow-up questions. ESSENTIAL TASKSResponsible for following lock-out/tag-out procedures as well as all safety programs and procedures. If any problem (or potential problem) arises, elevates to Supervisor immediately or in a timely fashion, depending on severity of problem.Performs preventive maintenance tasks as assigned.Prepares specific and accurate parts request form.Trains/retrains as required by company training guidelines (i.e. annual GMPT).Assists other employees when possible, particularly during breakdowns to maintain product flow.Notifies supervision of any equipment problems or safety hazards.Does not change job procedures without authorization from supervision.The above job description is not intended to be all inclusive but is to serve as a guideline for each job, and subject to change to meet the needs of Gold Medal Bakery or its customers.PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTSMust be capable of exerting up to 50 pounds of force to lift and move mechanical components.Must be able to do basic math calculations to count, add, subtract, multiply and divide.Tasks require working from a ladder or elevated platform. Must be able to work at heights of up to 60 feet. Physical activities required are climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting.Hearing protection is required.Worker subject to hazards such as proximity to moving parts, electrical current, and moving objects carrying considerable weight and force.Must be capable of working in environment of flour dust.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREDPreparation and Training In addition to a high school level of knowledge, work requires specialized or technical training which may be obtained in high school, commercial or shop courses or equivalent experience. Ability to use a variety of maintenance hand and power tools is required. Mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic, and welding experience to facilitate repair and installation is preferred.Analytical AbilityA basic level of analytical ability is required in order to complete training and learn troubleshooting.Independent Judgment And Consequence Of Errors Independent judgment is sometimes required.
