Customer Service Specialist
Summary: Provide excellent service to internal and external customers by achieving service goals while demonstrating quality, accuracy, accountability and team skills.
Essential duties include: Pre-screen and process transactions in policy processing systems according to department authority guidelines. Must be willing and able to cross-train on multiple policy types as required. Using rate manuals and/or rating software tools, determine the premium for all transactions in UAT (User Acceptance Training) and Production if necessary. Assist with testing of additional projects in UAT and Production. Pull all forms required to complete the processing transaction. Prepare and type forms and other documents as needed. Answer billing questions on billing hotline and in the Customer Service Department. Communicate with agents as needed including written and oral correspondence: -Request missing or additional information, -Verify information which appears inconsistent with other known data. -Answer questions concerning status of changes and new business. Maintain accurate time and production records. Build relationships with agents, customers and other company personnel. Complete special assignments within the Customer Service Department.
Requirements: HS Diploma or GED. Previous customer service experience.
