Responsibilities

GLOTECH, Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer to support the corporate office of SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, located in Orlando, Florida. SeaWorld is a world-renowned leader in the themed-park and entertainment industry. We are seeking an experienced data modeler to work collaboratively with our business stakeholders, data services and BI teams to design, develop, and implement data solutions to drive our marketing business forward.

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand business requirements
• Complete analysis and demonstrate understanding of current data realities
• Create data warehouse Bus matrix and the Dimensional data model design (following best practices)
• Ability to Profile data, declare fact tables, and dimensions; and base and derived metrics
• Develop and communicate both high-level and detailed model diagrams with business and IT stakeholders
• Design, develop, and implement ETL/ ELT processes to ensure proper functioning of reporting and analytics
• Design, develop, and implement data structures (staging, intermediate staging, dimension, fact, aggregate, views, etc.) well-suited to meet the business requirements
• Provide appropriate level of documentation (Data Mapping, Technical Specifications, Production Support, data dictionaries, test cases,) for all projects
• Partner with software engineers, DBAs, data architects, and Bi Developers

Qualifications

• Bachelor's with 8 years (or commensurate experience) preferred majors and minors include Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Information Management and Technology
• Proven work experience as a Data Modeler, Architect, Data Warehouse Engineer, ETL engineer or similar role
• Expert level designing, building and supporting enterprise data warehouses
• Expert level Microsoft SQL Server 2019, SSIS 2019, Visual studio
• Familiarity with BI and Data visualization tools (e.g. Business Objects, PowerBI)
• Work within a team, collaborate and add value through participation in peer code reviews, provide comments and suggestions, work with cross functional teams to achieve goals
• Hybrid schedule, with availability to work onsite in Orlando, FL, as needed
