JOB OPENING: ENTRY LEVEL FIELD TECHNICIAN

We are looking for an innovative, creative, self-motivated individual for an entry- level, Field Technician position, college degree in earth or environmental sciences or contruction experience preferred, but not necessary. This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits. Starting salary will be dependent on experience.
The ideal candidate would contribute to our team in field data collection, data entry, routine equipment maintenance, and report and figure support.
Tasks could include some or all of the following:
- Frequent multi-day travel to sites across New Mexico to perform field work. Estimated
amount of travel is approximately 24 weeks/year.
- Perform field work in a variety of environments and in variable weather conditions.
- Groundwater sampling primarily at State permitted dairy facilities.
- Groundwater sampling at other facilities for regulatory compliance.
- Soil sampling at various sites
- Groundwater production well testing
- Data entry
- Perform routine equipment maintenance, inventory, and organization, and office
maintenance as needed.
- Provide support for quarterly reporting and other technical reports as needed.
Time will be split between office and field work. The office-based portion of this position will be in our Santa Fe, NM office. Field work requires travel throughout NM and the southwest, often on multi-day projects, staying in accommodations on-site or nearby for the duration of the work.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Associated degree in earth or environmental sciences, or field work experience
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Physical stamina to work outdoors and year-round in NM climate
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
- Valid driver’s license
