Title: Marketing and Communications Intern within Community Relations Department

Location: Boulder, Colorado (Remote-anywhere in the US)

NorthStar Transitions offers adult residential addictions recovery programming, and intensive outpatient services. Our Mission at NorthStar is to Empower People to Navigate Real Life Recovery - We make Recovery possible. On top of our comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and trauma informed care curriculum, we focus experientially and somatically to teach clients how to disrupt their reflexive pattern of behavior, moving them beyond their addiction. Disrupting this pattern enables us to work through stuck traumas and co-occurring disorders and gives our clients tangible skills to create response instead of their ingrained reaction.

Are you looking to gain valuable experience in the mental health care industry while also developing your sales skills? We are seeking a friendly, motivated and deadline- driven Marketing and Communications Intern to join our Community Relations Team and support our efforts in promoting and selling our services.
The Marketing and Communications Intern will complete all tasks assigned by the Community Relations Director, which may include conducting market research, identifying business opportunities, managing email campaigns, generating sales leads, making cold calls, and participating in meetings. You should be able to take instruction, but also work unsupervised when required.
To be successful as our Sales Intern, you should be willing to learn as much about NorthStar Transitions as possible and be able to spot opportunities that have been overlooked by others. Being a Sales problem solver who knows the value of building lasting, professional relationships with clients is what we are looking for.

; making real life recovery possible. We aim to address each clients unique challenges and needs in a non-confrontational and non-judgmental way. Using motivational interviewing, CBT, DBT, somatic and experiential therapies, our intention is to assist clients in moving beyond their pre-contemplative or contemplative stage of change. Conjunct with clinical treatment, our dedicated treatment team helps clients develop critical life skills to build confidence, resilience and independence as self-sustaining healthy individuals prepared to take on a future free of substance abuse and addiction. Our continuum of care includes a 30 day residential program for grounding skills and regulation, a day program (PHP) for resourcing and exploration, and IOP for taking a deeper inventory into the root of their addiction. Clients receive individual and family therapy on top of their group experience, as well as psychiatric attention from our Board Certified Addiction Psychiatrist and medical team. We are an MAT friendly treatment program, and are licensed by the Office of Behavioral Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. We work with insurances on an in-network basis to provide quality treatment that is accessible.
