Glock is Hiring a DISTRICT SALES MANAGER - OR, WA Near Seattle, WA

General Purpose: To represent the law enforcement and commercial marketing interests of the business of GLOCK, Inc. in assigned territory. To promote company products and further sales of company products in assigned territory (Region OR, WA,). Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following; other duties may be assigned. In law enforcement agencies, establish and develop relationships with persons tasked to recommend firearms for department procurement and deployment and to utilize customer relationships to stay abreast of, address and diffuse prospective customer concerns relative to potential product issues by reporting these issues to the Regional Manager, National Sales Manager and GLOCK Warranty Department. Attend GP Training Department basic Armorer/maintenance courses to maintain customer relations and for marketing opportunities. In the commercial market, establish and develop relationships with active retail firearms businesses to promote company product, distribute product information, assist with sales, and provide company information to owners and sales personnel. Conduct demos and product information presentations. Quickly report negative product performance, move swiftly to ensure a rapid fix and report adverse conditions that exist in assigned territory which could have a negative effect on company business. Communicate and coordinate with the In-house Commercial, Stocking Dealer and Range Program Departments. Maintain Distributor’s accounts, ensuring Distributor’s maintain the proper inventory levels. Represent GLOCK, Inc. in a professional manner at trade shows, GSSF matches, GLOCK days and other business functions to promote products. Demonstrate GLOCK, Inc. products to Stocking Dealer’s sales staff. Update calendar with work schedule and share with the Regional Manager and National Sales Manager. Submit weekly expense reports to the Accounting Department. Submit monthly activity and summary reports to the Regional Manager Analyze and control expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements Ability to travel extensively by car and spend a minimum of 3 nights per week away from home (including some weekends) Effectively organize time and multi-task numerous projects at one time Qualifications/Job Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Competencies: Leadership Communication Relationship Management Ethical Practice Critical Evaluation Time Management Conflict Resolution Analytical Thinking Adaptability Education and/or Experience Preferences: High School Diploma or GED 3 - 5 years related experience and/or training 5 years as a Law Enforcement Range Master Manual dexterity to handle small tools and parts Complete understanding of the physical workings of a firearm Microsoft Office, Microsoft Dynamics AX General office and telephone skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Significant Law Enforcement / Military experience Licenses and Certifications: GLOCK armorer certification Firearms instructor certification Valid Driver’s License and be able to obtain a passport Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outdoor activities to include sales promotions and range demonstrations. Home office, distributor office and warehouse environments to include retail, law enforcement agencies and trade show establishments. Employee will regularly travel by vehicle and Air. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but may require some work outside of these hours.
