Global Resale is looking for a Business Development Executive for our Braintree, Essex location!

Global Resale partners with manufacturers, resellers, and leasing companies to source large volumes of retired and replaced IT/Electronic equipment, and sells to the best equipment dealers and resellers. www.globalresale.com

The Business Development Executive will report to the Services Director and will play a crucial role in facilitating the success of Global Resale specialising in creating and building new business relationships primarily with manufacturers, integrators, lessors, channel resellers, enterprise and cloud service providers, as well as maintaining and optimising existing relationships. The Business Development Executive is tasked with growing Global Resale’s international services opportunities that drive revenue and margin targets focusing on computing, enterprise and mobility products.

Essential Duties and Functions:

  • Develop new customer relationships through past-experience, personal contacts and networking, online web exchanges, internet searches, outbound calls and/or emails and industry tradeshows
  • Proactively develop customer relationships across multiple levels for new sources of computing, enterprise and mobility products with attached services that drive revenue and margin targets
  • Manage existing customer relationships that may be assigned
  • Work effectively with a cross functional team to manage inventory turns, pricing and sales velocity
  • Collaborate with Global Resale team members to manage accounts and create sales opportunities
  • Construct sales offerings based on company’s available services catalogue including RFI, and RFP responses
  • Sales forecasting and quota attainment
  • Report sales opportunities regularly in a sales pipeline report
  • Maintain accurate monthly, and quarterly subscriber and revenue forecasts
  • Maintain strong ties with Operations, IT, Sales Engineering, Accounting, and Legal teams in support of your customers
  • Interact with Finance & Operations to ensure compliance with financial obligations, which include Letters of Credit, Accounts Payable and credits
  • Continuously update knowledge of technology including wireless Internet of Things products, services, industry trends, and the competitive dynamics of the marketplace
  • Act in accordance with Global Resale information quality control, health and safety and, security policies and procedures.

What are we looking for?

  • Ability to build effective and constructive relationships across multiple customers and opportunities
  • Good understanding of IT equipment with a genuine interest in IT
  • Negotiating and influencing skills applied across the various supplier and sales opportunities
  • Ability to work comfortably with all levels of management, employees, and in virtual teams across supply chain, customers and company groupwide
  • Managing customer expectations with ability to work collaboratively and under pressure
  • Proven track record of successful channel sales experience preferred
  • Technical knowledge in common enterprise, networking and computing products and parts advantageous
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams & Powerpoint
