Global Power Components is Hiring an Accounting Manager Near Milwuakee, WI
In 2018 we moved operations into a newly renovated 300,000 sq. foot facility that will foster our continued growth as we continue to be recognized as the undisputed leaders in our industry. As a result of continued growth, we are looking for an Accounting Manager to join our Accounting team.Core Responsibilities:
- Assists in directing the organization’s general accounting function.
- Evaluate and make appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization.
- Coordinate and assist with the completion annual financial audit, benefit plan audit, insurance audit and other compliance requirements.
- Oversees the completion of projects by Sr. and Staff Accountants and provide assistance and direction when needed.
- Identify, initiate and make changes to improve Epicor ERP usage and overall efficiency.
- Perform special projects, as required, to assist the department and the Company in achieving its goals and objectives
- Collect and compile necessary financial and economic data to perform meaningful analysis for strategic business decisions.
- Provide analytical support for design changes and capex decisions.
- Independently oversee the completion of account reconciliations and ask probing questions when information submitted does not comply with GAAP or is not in line with the activity that should be in the account.
- Bachelor’s degree required, CPA a plus.
- Passion for your work and a strong desire for continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical ability and an eye for the details. If you are unsure if this is you, this role may be a struggle.
- 4-7 years of experience with evidence of increasing responsibilities.
- Advanced user of MS Excel, PowerBI experience a plus
- Experience working with an ERP system. In a manufacturing environment is a plus.
