Global Marketing Group is Hiring a Project Manager Near Philadelphia, PA

The Project Manager is responsible for leading teams to deliver projects working with the Marketing Operation and Demand Generation (Launch) team as a part of the greater Global Marketing Group (GMG) of Nagase. This is a strategic project management role where the primary focus will be the project management of the Digital Marketing, Digital Transformation, Creative, and Marketing Operations work tracks for Nagase global marketing projects or work tracks within a large enterprise digital transformation program. The role requires sufficient experience in global enterprise digital transformations and implementations with relevant experience as it relates to Marketing Strategy and Operations.

The Project Manager will shepherd the execution of the program and project-related deliverables by working closely with the GMG PPM and Launch teams, as well as other teams within GMG (Global Market Insights (GMI), Marketing Technology (MarTech), Brand, Executive), Nagase teams and external partners. This person will need to embody strong project management and interpersonal skills. This person will report to the PPM team to the Associate Director of Project Management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Digital Experience, Branding, Content, and/or related projects and/or work tracks for the global marketing projects and an enterprise-wide digital transformation project.
  • Responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely and quality fashion and within budget, on time, and in scope.
  • Responsible for project management activities in all project phases, including, but not limited to request assessment/LOE creation, audits, budget management, burn rates, change management, deliverables, capacity planning, communication plans, education, estimations, forecasting, interdependent tasks, meeting minutes with action items and risks identified, milestones, obtaining approvals, project health, project plans, reporting, requirements gathering, resource planning, resource utilization, scoping,
  • Scope creep/challenges, stakeholder mapping, RACI, RAID log, leading internal/external status meetings and maintaining all work and updates in Workfront (work management tool).
  • Work with project manager peers to develop, maintain, and manage interactive project work plans and timelines and revise as necessary to meet changing needs and requirements on multi-functional initiatives.
  • Define and track tasks, dependencies, priorities, and milestones, cross-team and cross-project dependencies and manage assigned internal and external resources to completion.
  • Independently manage multiple concurrent creative projects; influence prioritization and negotiate schedule conflicts based on GMG and business goals and be accountable for due diligence and work with internal and external stakeholders for successful completion of projects without step-by-step guidance.
  • Ensure teams understand the project scope, their assignments, due dates, priorities, and budget, and overarching RACI.
  • Working with Program Management, GMG Leadership, and project management peers lead to identifying upcoming conflicts and resource gaps at the project level.
  • Completely understands the project scope of all projects that you are managing.
  • Resolve blockers, obtaining assets and decisions as needed across departments, disciplines, stakeholders, and teams.
  • Provide strategic and creative solutions that proactively address challenges as well as confidently and effectively communicate to your teams and clients.
  • Regularly track, report, and communicate on project health, tracking hours incurrence and forecasting throughout each project phase with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collect and organize all creative and technical information associated with each project.
  • Hold all task assignees accountable for meeting their task requirements successfully and on time.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional partners to organize workflows and build stakeholder consensus to meet project deadlines.
  • Create new processes, policies, templates, and operating procedure documentation, as needed, following PPM guidelines.
  • Maintain and optimize existing processes, policies, templates, and operating procedure documentation (based on necessary frequency). Consolidation on processes, systems, and documentation working with the other project managers will be continuous.
  • Comply with GMG specific policies and procedures related to purchasing of goods or services, informal and formal approval process requirements, internal collaboration with Nagase’s affiliates, and external collaboration with vendors.
  • Comply with and stay up to date with GMG guardrails applicable for meetings, general protocols, internal and external communication.
  • Communicate, training and reinforce employees on written policies and procedures across the organization.
  • Audit and validate project design files and document implementation requirements.
  • Identify, manage, and maintain RAID action log pertaining to the projects track actions, identify, and mitigate risks, and drive decisions, ensuring they are raised and managed appropriately.
  • Generate RAID logs entries within one business day of an incident; maintain and shepherd mitigation plan from implementation to closure.
  • Take detailed meeting notes for all meetings attended with action items identified and managed.
  • Leverage Workfront (work management tool) to develop timelines and coordinate deliverables, burn-rates, communications, time tracking, RAID log, and continually improve on existing processes and utilize tool solutions for better efficiency. Workfront must be kept accurate and organized.
  • Manage and advise on-time utilization relative to the project to assist with the burn rate of the partners, vendors, and team members.
  • Effectively communicate and liaise with business group Subject Matter Experts, business leaders’ relevant stakeholders, and vendors in the interest of a project.
  • Coordinate internal/external feedback and work with all stakeholders to ensure nothing is lost or miscommunicated. Clarity on expectations for stakeholders is critical.
  • Partner with third-party project managers, internal project managers, and stakeholders across the entire project to maintain integrated project timelines.
  • Manage and foster relationships with agencies and third parties as well as persuade and educate a non-marketing audience on the value of marketing, such as senior-level managers within the organization.
  • Facilitate onboarding and offboarding of team members on programs, projects, processes, etc.
  • Collaborate across the GMG (Brand COE, Program & Partner Management, Global Insights (GMI), Launch, Marketing Technology, and Executive teams.
  • Assists in Program, Project or Workfront, or other GMG activities and provide support as needed.

Requirements

  • 3 years of digital and creative agency management experience, including large-scale campaigns or digital transformations.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in Program Management and Project Management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or IT affiliated field of study.
  • Certifications: PMP desired, Agile, Scrum, or other relevant certifications a plus.
  • Experience working in a global company.
  • Embraces change with a willingness to adapt to change in tools, processes, policies as needed and defined as best for the organization.
  • Experience working closely with program management, marketing operations, marketing technology, large enterprise digital transformation, and/or digital product, sales, compliance, legal, and procurement teams.
  • Demonstrate a deep knowledge of program, project, and process management best practices.
  • Demonstrate a deep knowledge of all channels of marketing, a full understanding of end-to-end multi-channel campaign management, systems, tools, vocabularies, roles, and processes.
  • Demonstrate a deep knowledge of the campaign, creative, content, digital, editorial processes, email, social media, UI, UX, video.
  • Experience with the Procurement process and relevant requirements.
  • Demonstrate a deep knowledge of work management systems and specialty creative project management tools (Workfront preferred).
  • Experience in Microsoft suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience process mapping and design software (Visio, Lucid chart, or other similar)
  • Experience with Adobe products, a plus (Adobe Asset Manager, Adobe Creative Suite, Magento, Marketo, etc.).

Other Requirements

  • This position requires 10-20% domestic and/or international travel for business purposes (*company travel policies, rules, and restrictions will apply). The frequency of travel will depend on business requirements.
  • This position requires the ability to drive for business purposes. Possession of a valid state driver’s license and a valid passport are required.
  • Late-night meetings and flexible work schedules are a must due to global meetings
  • Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, must be able to work remotely and productively in a remote office environment.
