The Controller will report directly to the CFO and provide support in carrying out the responsibilities of the Accounting Department for multiple companies. This is a fulltime, onsite, hands-on position which requires a high degree of knowledge in financial accounting, project costing and general ledger operations. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, pays great attention to detail, extremely organized, team oriented and have a positive attitude.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare month end closes and monthly and annual financial statements
• Prepare and maintain rolling weekly cash flow projections
• Manage project costing analysis for one of our entities to proactively report on profitability
• Maintain fixed asset files and software
• Prepare monthly standard and non-standard journal entries
• Prepare and keep up-to-date balance sheet account reconciliations
• Complete monthly bank reconciliations and other various analytical projects
• Understand and manage the intercompany process
• Prepare and assist with audits and reviews
• Improve, maintain, & document processes and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility and offer constructive suggestions for improvement
• Assist in the development and maintenance of policies, procedures and internal controls

Qualifications:

• Minimum Bachelors in Accounting
• 5 years of continuous experience, public accounting experience a plus
• Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills a must
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and strong excel skills including pivot tables and v-lookups. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics accounting software a plus.
• Must be able to work efficiently and independently, as well as part of a team
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Attention to detail and strong knowledge and experience of accounting and financial reporting requirements.
• Friendly, courteous, professional, and customer-service oriented.
