Global Communities is seeking an Operations Analyst to join the Global Programs team. This position may be based at any U.S. based Global Communities office and is eligible for hybrid or fully remote work arrangement. The Operations Analyst, Global Programs provides financial analysis, cost tracking and budget management for all G&A cost center budgets across the division. This position plays a coordinating role across departments within the division and works closely with Finance and IT to ensure data accuracy. This is a critical role in supporting the overall financial management, coordination and reporting within Global Programs.

Responsibilities

Responsibility Area: Coordination

  • Coordinates closely with departments and budget holders in the Global Programs division; ensures effective working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Liaises with Finance, IT and other stakeholders outside of the Global Programs division to support consistent information sharing and data management across various departments, functions, and technology platforms.

Responsibility Area: Financial Analysis and Reporting

  • Manages and tracks departmental cost lines; appropriately enters and classifies expenditures across cost lines and tracks budgets vs. expenditures, including producing cost center budget vs. actuals reports for Global Programs leadership as required.
  • Ensures all G&A budgets are up to date, and expenditures and projections are entered in a timely manner and verified for accuracy; and conducts financial reconciliations as required.
  • Produces financial analysis and expenditure reports, including monthly data visualization and financial dashboards for Global Programs leadership and for discrete departments within Global Programs, and quarterly contributions to Board materials.
  • Liaises closely with Finance department to ensure that financial data is current, complete, and accurate.
  • Tracks business development capture costs, including opening and closing of cost centers; ensures business development budgets are accurate and reflect up to date expenditures and projections.
  • Supports Sr. Director in providing training to Global Programs staff on applicable standard operating procedures, budget data analytics and reporting tools, and other platforms as required.
  • Undertakes all other duties and projects as assigned.

  • Demonstrated understanding of project finance principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills; ability to proactively identify and resolve problems.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize technology solutions to support effective financial management and data visualization.
  • Working knowledge of Power Bi required.
  • Excellent organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Advanced computer skills in a Windows based environment including excel and the Microsoft Suite.
  • Working knowledge of financial planning software such as Adaptive Insights.
  • Able to work in and foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Demonstrated maturity and discretion in working with sensitive information.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and ability to sit at a computer and operate a keyboard.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in a related discipline and a minimum of two years of related work experience or a minimum of six years of related work experience.
  • Experience in project administration, financial analysis, data management and analysis, and budgeting.
  • A passion for the mission and values of Global Communities.
  • Must have U.S. work authorization.
