Essential Functions:

• Paints cabinets, walls, and doors in various commercial applications.
• Applies primers or sealers to prepare new surfaces for finish coats.
• Removes fixtures such as pictures, door knobs, lamps, and electric switch covers prior to painting.
• Covers surfaces with drop-cloths or masking tape and paper to protect surfaces during painting.
• Prepares surfaces for painting; removes old finishes by stripping, sanding, and/or abrasive blasting.
• Reads, understands and follows instructions on painting materials; reads work orders and/or receives instructions from supervisors to determine work requirements.
• Mixes and matches colors of paint, strain, or varnish with oil and thinning and drying additives in order to obtain desired colors and consistencies.
• Discards any and all waste generated by painting.
• Handles loading and unloading of painting material; transports materials to installation destination.
• Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management..

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in construction field.
