Senior IoT Software Developer Gleason is seeking a Senior IoT Software Developer that will help develop an ecosystem of solutions supporting digital manufacturing of high precision components (gears). This helps us deliver unique value to our customers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for development of the Internet of Things (IoT) platform and its applications in this ecosystem. Key ResponsibilitiesPerform hands-on technical development in proof of concept, prototyping & pilot phases to establish offering feasibilitySupport technical development of Gleason IoT platformDevelop technical solutions for Gleason IoT use cases and delivering them to end customersEnd to End product development Basic QualificationsMS or BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other technology related field3 years of experience in JavaScript frameworks such as Angular JS, React.3 years of work experience as a senior developer working on IoT deploymentsProficiency in fundamental front end languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScriptProficiency in server side languages such as C#, Python, Java, PHP.Familiarity with database technology such as MSSQL, MongoDB, InfluxDB.Experience with Docker, containers, VMsStrong analytical and problem solving skillsExcellent communications skills, verbal and written, with technical and executive audiencesStrong recent hands-on design and development experience with platform independent API development with consideration for scalability, security, flexibility and ease of use. Preferred QualificationsHands on experience with cloud platforms like Azure; open source frameworks such as EdgeX FoundryUnderstanding of various IoT technologies and approaches, such as OPC UA, MQTT, AMQT, WebSockets, microservices, etc.Bonus: Experience with mobile application development in frameworks such as Xamarin, IonicBonus: Knowledge of Azure Devops (CI/CD)Experience in the manufacturing industryExperience with data science/machine learning IoT componentsTravel Approximately 10% domestic an/or international
