TITLE: General Accountant

REPORTS TO: Head of Accounting

Essential Job Function:

Manages the daily activities of revenue functions. Ensures compliance with applicable policies and reviews sales orders/contracts to ensure that revenue is in compliance with GAAP.

Responsible for the month-end revenue close and related analyses.

This position will be one of the main liaisons between the Accounting Department and other departments of the company.

General Information:

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, in-depth knowledge of US GAAP.

Requirements:

• The ability to lead, direct and prioritize the work of others.
• Five to eight years of previous related experience
• Strong technical accounting skills
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and other Office applications
• Dynamics NAV (NAVISION) know-how
• Must be goal oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Must work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Must be a collaborative team player in order to achieve departmental goals and to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

• Revenue recognition
• Track open sales orders and prepare monthly backlog report of open orders (PTP, Spare Parts and PSD)
• Evaluation of potential customers (including credit analysis and setting of credit limits)
• Direct and provide support related to invoicing and collections.
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles.
• Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
• Monthly closings
• Account analyses
• Preparation and recording of journal entries
• Financial reporting
• Preparation of necessary schedules and reconciliations for outside accountants
• All other activities as assigned by Head of Accounting and EVP of Administration and Finance

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 per year

Experience:

• Revenue cycle management: 5 years (Preferred)
• General Accounting: 5 years (Required)
