Overview

Gilbane Development Company is seeking a Senior Building Engineer to maintain and operate building systems and general operations for a 374,000 SF multi-tenant commercial office building in Everett, MA. Reporting to the Building Manager and working alongside another Building Engineer, this person will serve as the go-to resource for any building-related maintenance. 

Responsibilities

Job responsibilities include the planning, scheduling and performance of maintenance and operations of all building mechanical, electrical and other systems. These responsibilities include all building and site related service activities. This position supervises and directs all service providers and trades persons to ensure quality workmanship and high work standard. This person acts as liaison between owner and owner’s tenant community, and ensures all services are in compliance with owner’s objectives, lease requirements and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• 8 years of commercial office building operations and maintenance experience
• Must be an excellent communicator
• Possess mechanical and electrical systems technical expertise and progressive supervisory experience.
• Ability to perform physical requirements including but not limited to: lifting up to 75 pounds, climb ladders, work at heights, and work in confined spaces
