Overview
The Purchasing Agent I provides assistance in the buy-out of a Project.
Responsibilities
- Manage and utilize the Master Bidders list throughout the buyout process of projects
- Process bid documents to ensure compliance with contract requirements
- Prepare and process contracts, purchase orders, consultant agreements and amendments to ensure compliance with contract and project requirements
- Track/monitor the MBE/WBE/SBE utilization process and identify risk areas
- Maintain Purchase and Award Schedule

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree
- 1-3 years of purchasing and/or construction experience
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors and outside representatives
- Ability to prepare and interpret specifications, analyze bids, and prepare and maintain procurement records and reports
