Ghost RX is looking for a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room to work at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center located in Indianapolis, IN.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis, Indiana has 11 operating rooms that service 14 different surgical services. The OR Registered Nurse provides assistance to the surgeons and other team members during a variety of surgical procedures and participates with the surgical team in planning and implementing complex surgical procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Active unrestricted State License from any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia
• The ability to pass a government background clearance mandatory for this position

REQUIREMENTS:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minium of one year operating room experience

SHIFT EXPECTATIONS:

• Start Date: ASAP – Federal credentialing will be expedited to approx. 2-3 weeks. 8 & 13 week contracts with extensions options.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday – 7am – 330pm *The VA will accept 4/10 hour shifts if need be. No weekends, no call.

JOB DUTIES:

• Performing, scrubbing, circulating duties on surgical procedures for a variety of surgical services
• Managing the care of the surgical patient in a manner which maintains a safe environment for staff, patients and families
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory body standards and hospital policies and procedures
• Maintaining standards of efficiency and cost effectiveness
• Promoting a learning environment for all team members
