Ghafari is Hiring a Human Resources Generalist Near Dearborn, MI

Responsibilities

General Summary:

The Human Resources Generalist supports the Human Resources department as an advisor to management and employees on employee relations, performance and HR laws. An ideal candidate will have broad knowledge in HR, and an interest/background in benefits and compensation analysis.

 Essential Job Functions:

  • Serve as an HR representative to employees (some travel to U.S. locations may occur)
  • Provide counsel to managers on employee relation issues including but not limited to: coaching, counseling, discipline and termination of employment
  • Understand and ensure compliance with applicable laws, company policies and procedures
  • Recruit for various technical and administrative positions including sourcing resumes, reviewing resumes that have been sent to HR, establishing interviews, selection process, making offers, and all on-boarding activities (virtual and in-person)
  • Assist with benefits administration
  • Assist with compensation analysis
  • Investigate issues such as grievances and disciplinary actions
  • Various administrative tasks, including but not limited to: entering data into the HRIS system, reviewing new hire paperwork for all employees, Covid-19 related tasks such as ensuring cleaning logs are maintained, checking in visitor/employee questionnaires, reviewing RTO handbooks signage.
  • Conduct exit interviews and process terminations
  • Participate as human resources team member on special projects
  • Perform related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Employment Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or an equivalent field of study

Experience:

  • 5 years of professional human resources experience demonstrating knowledge, skills and ability to perform the job
  • Previous experience within a global organization preferred
  • Previous experience with benefits administration and/or compensation analysis a bonus

Skills/Competencies:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Windows 10, HRIS software (preferably iVantage), recruiting and online applicant tracking systems
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • A/E experience preferred but not required

Licenses/Certifications

  • PHR/SPHR preferred
