GGS has an immediate opening for a Network Engineer to work with our highly skilled team. We're looking for a Network Engineer that can accomplish these goals

  • Support the IT team regarding IT administration and technical assistance to employees and customers in hardware and software installation, applications, and technical problems.
  • Identify the root cause of equipment-related malfunctions, implement the solution, and work with the team to address unresolved or complex problems.
  • Stay current with new software, hardware, and related technological innovations. Investigate how new technology can be integrated with existing systems.
  • Assist with oversight & management of the company's computer network, database, and Microsoft operating systems - including installation, configuration, maintenance, measurement, and tuning of hardware and software systems.
  • Develop, update, and test company-wide programs that encompass security of proprietary software copyright compliance, virus protection, change management, problem management, and disaster recovery.
  • Maintain and improve our security stance with regard to policy and NIST 800-171/CMMC security requirements and their implementation
  • Be the lead in vpn, routing, vlans, 802.1x, Vmware and Certificate management.

Our network engineer will also have the following qualities.

  • Versatile - Familiar with a wide range of networking equipment like switches, routers firewalls and endpoint control software. Good understanding of business software and packages and a variety of server platforms such as IIS, SQL Server & Backup solutions.
  • Active - Run cables and install equipment, lift, and move operating equipment.
  • Curious - Eager to learn and understand. Always wants to know more and solve problems.
  • Insightful - Quickly identify and troubleshoot systems malfunctions and implement the solution.
  • Driven - Understands that our team's success depends on our ability to win for the customer
  • Humble - Able and willing to ask for help from colleagues & take advice from the team
  • Confident - Able to work independently at the job site and able to work directly with customers at a time when things may be malfunctioning and they are experiencing frustration.
  • Skilled - Experienced in Systems/Network Administration work. Knowledgeable about network operating systems, addressing schemes and components.
  • Experienced - Solid, hands on experience with hardware such as switches, routers, firewalls and server hardware. On the software side, we would expect experience in things like IIS, NPS, Active Directory, VMWare, CA and PKI and a load of user applications.
  • "A Player" - A Network Engineer who has the skills, passion and people smarts to help our team of "A Players" achieve great things. Loveable slackers and lone wolves don't fit here.
