Gerhart is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our team in our Easton, PA location. In this role technicians will specialize in Heavy Capacity services to be performed in the field. The ideal candidate should have a general mechanical or electrical background, be a self-starter with a solid customer oriented approach.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of field services including: installation, calibration, and maintenance of customer equipment, often outdoors
• Ability to mechanically and electrically troubleshoot, identify, and diagnose malfunctions and repair weighing equipment related to Heavy Capacity
• Identify potential sales opportunities & offer solutions to benefit the customer operations

Qualifications:

• Mechanically adept / proficient with a variety of tools
• Strong problem solving & resourcefulness
• Comfortable working in all work environments, outdoor industrial settings includes dust, dirt, extreme temps both hot & cold
• Able to work overtime as needed to complete projects within defined deadlines
• Hold a Class B CDL (drivers license) or ability to obtain one after employment begins
