Description

We are seeking an experienced Medical Technologist to perform routine laboratory testing, maintain an organized lab and follow proper documentation practices. The Medical Technologist will work full time, Monday- Friday and must be registered as a Medical Technologist (ASCP, AMT or AAB).

Responsibilities:

• Prepare biological specimens for testing that is focused on infections disease for clients
• Carefully execute routine testing and record data with the current focus being Clinical Chemistry (Immunoassay)
• Review and organize data for inconsistencies
• Label and organized specimen samples in a clinical setting
• Quality assurance/quality control of complex lab equipment
• Maintain all required written records and QC logs

Requirements

Requirements:

• Medical Technologist Certification and Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in science or related field.
• Certified as a Medical Technologist in the state of GA with one of the following certifications: American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), American Medical Technologists (AMT), American Association of Bioanalysts (ABB), or another agency approved by the state of Georgia Department of public health.

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of clinical laboratory experience.
