Georgia Pacific's Consumer Products Group is seeking candidates for an Electrical Maintenance opportunity supporting our Muskogee, OK Tissue, Towel, and Napkin Mill. The selected Electrical Maintenance individual will be required to successfully complete our Maintenance Training Program as well as additional training requirements. This individual will work with supervisors, mentors, coworkers, and others to gain knowledge and skills in our manufacturing environment and to ensure that the mechanical maintenance needs of the mill can be met. The pay range will be $24.13 - $36.34 based on experience. The shift will be a 12-hour rotating shift to include holidays, weekends and over time as needed.
Our Team
Located on the Kerr-McClellan Navigational Channel (Arkansas River) on about 640 acres of land, the Muskogee consumer products operation spans across approximately 70 acres (or 2,900,000 square feet) of manufacturing and warehouse space are "under roof" employing approximately 830 employees. We are the second largest employer in the Muskogee, OK area and 45th in the state! Our non-union facility operates on 12-hour shifts, 7 days per week, 365 days per year; housing 2 of the 13 largest tissue machines in the world and paper machines that produce an average of 900 tons of paper per day. Our finished product consists of a mix of 40% Retail and 60% Commercial.
What You Will Do
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment and systems in order to maintain expected machine performance * Inspect machinery to identify issues or reliability/production gaps
- Participate in a preventative maintenance program to ensure machinery uptime
- Helping facility meet or exceed production and quality goals
- Communicate daily work performed and machine conditions via written and verbal documentation
- Perform a variety of duties in the maintenance department related to assembly and repairs
- Fabricate metal parts Such as brackets and covers using blueprints and designs sketches to ensure proper dimensions and tolerance levels of finished product
- Read and interpret complex work instructions and documentation
- Work with and troubleshooting AC and DC voltages ranging from 24 volts to 13200 volts
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspection routes that help to maintain and improve machine reliability * Understand and troubleshoot, AC/DC Drives, PLC Controls, DCS, and Machine Interfaces
- Understand, troubleshoot and write PLC Logic for various controllers and interfaces
- Test electrical lines, transformers, and other power distribution equipment, using devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, megohmmeters, oscilloscopes and chart recorders
- Inspect, clean, calibrate, and maintain Low and Medium voltage distribution equipment
- Install new, repairing damaged and/or make modifications to conduit and wiring
- Perform a variety of electronic, mechanical and electromechanical tests on electronic systems, subassemblies and parts to ensure unit functions according to specifications or to determine cause of unit failure
- Read/interpret hydraulic prints, pneumatic diagrams, blueprints technical manuals, single line electrical drawings, schematics, electrical ladder diagrams, ladder logic and instrument loop drawings
- Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures
- Complete on-going development of job skills and safety training
- Complete required hours (classroom and on the job training) in Maintenance Training Program
- Perform tasks requiring lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, pushing and or pulling for 12 hours per day
- Work in elevated and confined spaces
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- One of the following:
- Associate/Technical degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Systems, Instrumentation, or Electronic Technology or,
- A minimum of four (4) years of Electrical/Electronic/Control installation and troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience reading and following electrical and maintenance schematics/blueprints
- Experience utilizing electrical test devices such as Ammeters, Voltmeters, and Ohmmeters.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Five (5) or more years of electrical experience working in a mechanical, manufacturing, industrial, construction, warehouse or military environment
- Four (4) or more years of experience operating, repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Electrical equipment
- Four (4) or more years of experience using computerized machinery in a production environment
- Experience working in a Pulp/Paper Mill
- Experience working on converting equipment
- Experience with Instrumentation and controls loops
- Experience performing preventive maintenance routes in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience working with computers for record keeping and documentation
- Experience through a maintenance apprenticeship or technical training program/internship
- Technical knowledge and experience with Servos and Servo Controllers
- Technical knowledge and experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and DCS equipment.
