Georgia Department of Public Health is Hiring an Advanced Practice RN 2 Near Atlanta, GA

Minimum Hire in Salary: $75,158.40
 
Job Summary: 
The Clayton County Health District is seeking a qualified candidate for our Advanced Practice RN 2 position. Under supervision, performs advanced nursing functions and healthcare services in specialized areas. Operates under a written nurse protocol agreement with their delegating physician, conducts complete physicals, provides treatment, and counsels clients. May prescribe medicine in some cases. Job Responsibilities
Examines clients to obtain information about their physical condition. Performing clinical duties that include well women exams, Pap Smears, STI treatments and exams. Collecting blood, monitoring labs and vital signs. Provide education, follow up and referral services. Administers or orders diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests. Instructs and counsels clients about prescribed therapeutic regimens, normal growth and development, family planning, emotional problems of daily living, and health maintenance. Interprets diagnostic test results for deviations from normal. Makes tentative diagnoses and decisions about management and treatment of clients. Obtains, compiles and records clients’ medical data, including health history, progress notes and results of physical examination. Performs therapeutic procedures, such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care, and infection management. Develops comprehensive plans of care. Attend required trainings and complete necessary reports, documentation, and other assignments. May serve as a mentor and/or preceptor for other APRNS.Minimum Qualifications:
Doctorate or master’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and/or other education requirements approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing AND certification in the specialty area(s) approved by Georgia Board of Nursing AND Two years of nursing experience AND Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse AND Georgia license as a APRN AND current certification in specialty area AND CPR certificationPreferred Qualifications:
Public Health experience a plus
Women’s wellness exams/screening experience
Leadership experience
