The ideal candidate willbe capable of maintaining instrumentation in a soybean processing facility. Asa member of the Service Division, a willingness to respond in urgent oremergent repairs after regular business hours will be a necessity. Aclean driving record is required. Instrumentation Technician Responsibilities:

  • Ability to work in a team environment with other process instrumentation technicians to maintain and repair instrumentation including pressure, flow, level, and temperature devices. 
  • Actively able to troubleshoot, maintain and repair instrumentation to ensure preventative maintenance of functional instrumentation. 
  • Ability to install and reinstall instrumentation after repair or replacement. 
  • Skill set includes completing loop checks with instrumentation within the facility. 
  • Maintenance of all critical equipment will be a necessity to avoid downtime or malfunction. 
  • Efficientat using computerized systems to integrate, retrieve data, or manage theinstrumentation within the facility.
  • Willingnessto be on-call for service after normal business hours, including weekends, inrotation with other technicians.
  • Performall other related duties as assigned by supervision.

Requirements for the Instrumentation Technician

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical school or continued education is a plus.
  • Experience with process instrumentation in an industrial settingis highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of electrical theory and terminology is required.
  • Knowledge and experience of software programming with Bailey,Modicon or Allen Bradley a plus.
  • Must be willing to work some paid overtime as business needsarise.
  • Attention to detail, organization skills and ability to workindependently or with a team.
  • Results-driven personality a plus.
  • Strong communication skills whether written, verbal or otherwiserequired especially using moderately complex terminology and concepts.
  • Must be willing and able to work at heights nearing 150 feetthrough stairs or vertical ladder.
  • Must be able to carry up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the UnitedStates.
