GEO is looking for a Full Time Jr. Project Engineer position to support Environmental, Civil Works and Military Projects.

What you will do:

  • Perform work in accordance with applicable federal and state guidelines and requirements
  • Management, analysis, and interpretation, of data, technical reports, and figures
  • Interact directly with Engineers, Safety, Human Resources, and Quality team members
  • Collaborate with employees, satellite offices, customers, joint venture partners, and teaming partners
  • Perform work which involves conventional environmental, geological and hydrogeologic practices but may involve a variety of complex features, field work, and working with other disciplines
  • Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates a variety of project tasks
  • Follow procedures and manage current processes to drive continuous improvement in new directives

Position Requirements and Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • 0-4 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from accredited program
  • Complete requirements for Professional Engineer registration (pass the F.E. exam, create and maintain an NCEES record which includes school transcripts, relevant work experience summaries, provide references, take the P.E. exam) within 4 years of hire
  • Obtain PE registration within 6 years of hire (pass the P.E. exam)
  • Attend professional development training and obtain certifications to support GEO, customer, and industry requirements
  • Proactive with strong initiative and follow through, detail oriented, and capable of working both independently and in a team environment
  • Develop and review new technical documents
  • Business development research to pursue new and continuing business opportunities
  • Participate in and support proposal development teams by developing and reviewing proposals
  • Obtain training on field work sampling methods and participate in field sampling activities
  • Utilize and train on several of the following computer programs (may include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SigmaPlot, Surfer, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Project, ArcGIS, etc.)
  • Meet GEO and site-specific fit for duty physical requirements, as well as additional regulatory medial clearances (i.e. DOT, HAZWOPER) as required to support GEO projects
  • Must have ability to obtain security clearance
