Role Overview

The HR Business Partner will be responsible for being a collaborative people partner for our Supply Chain, Embryo and Product Development teams. As an HRBP you will partner within and across our HR functions (total rewards, benefits, recruiting, learning & development) to ensure the people needs of the business and groups you support are met. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, proactive, and focused on building strong, effectively working relationships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as a champion through consultation, service and day-to-day HR support to leaders and employees.
  • Establish and maintain effective and credible relationship with leaders and employees; work closely with leaders to provide support, planning and problem solving.
  • Coach managers with employee relations issues to ensure candid and timely feedback, documentation and actions plans to resolve. Escalates employee issues to the Human Resource Leader, as needed.
  • Identify gaps and work with leaders or HR teams to develop approaches to meet operating plan requirements and future needs.
  • Partner with leaders to drive employee engagement through supporting action planning, communication and talent development.
  • Provide HRBP support on core HR processes (i.e. Performance Management, Rewards, Benefits, Onboarding, Offboarding).
  • Manage vacancy reports within supported group to ensure recruiting activity supports the business’ budget and financial goals.
  • Partner with Immigration to support employees on or requiring work Visas.
  • Maintain timely and accurate data in GenusOne Talent and provide routine analytics through PowerBI Reporting.
  • Support the Health & Safety Program working closely with the Health and Safety team to increase Health & Safety.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field or equivalent years of progressive HR experience
  • Ability to travel up to 25% (locally between 3 campuses – Deforest, Dekorra, and Leeds)
  • 3 years of experience in as an HRBP and/or Generalist
  • Superior customer service orientation with strong follow up skills and attention to details in a multi-faceted environment (in writing, via phone, and in-person)
  • Displays drive for learning and leads with curiosity and listening
  • Actively seeks opportunities to collaborate and build internal professional relationships
  • Displays good judgement and superior ethics, professional presence, and demeanor
  • Ability to work in and maintain performance expectations in diverse cultural contexts and fast-paced environment
  • Work requires continual attention to detail and ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to always maintain appropriate confidentiality
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience working in a HR Center of Excellence Model is a plus; understands the value in partnering across HR and building strong working relationships with coworkers
