Genuine Cable Group (GCG) is looking for a Data Governance Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for the implementation and oversight of the Company’s data management goals, standards, practices, process, and technologies. You will also organize and streamline the process with which product and supplier data is collected, shared, utilized, protected, cleaned, and stored across multiple levels of the enterprise(s). Efficiency and reduction of inaccurate data handling, unusable data are critical focus of the role to achieve companywide time savings. You will ensure that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.

This role can be remote/hybrid at any of our major locations: Rochester Hills, MI; Alpharetta, GA; Chicago, IL; Leominster, MA; Arlington, TX; Grand Prairie, TX; Aurora, CO; Miamisburg, OH; or Cranberry Township, PA.

What You’ll Do:

• Improve the quality and manage the protection of sensitive data and information assets
• Develop and implement best in class price optimization initiatives backed with ROI projections
• Collaborate with sales and operations management toward common goals
• Create capacity models for strategic products
• Lead functional efficacy programs to improve utilization of pricing tools and processes
• Analyze supplier and sales trends and develop patterns for inventory and cost modeling
• Assume responsibility of budget development and margin impacts of pricing strategy
• Manage and maintain supplier pricing files – i.e., blanket quotes, Ship & Debit SPAs, opportunity registration records, etc.
• Communicate significant cost and capacity changes to field personnel
• Support program efforts with sales teams
• Represent GCG at industry events

What You’ll Bring:

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field; Post graduate degree preferred
• At least five (5) years IT or database analysis management experience required
• Strong working knowledge and experience with Oracle, Rubicon and/or P21 are a plus
• 5 years’ experience in the related area as an individual contributor preferred
• 1 - 3 years supervisory experience preferred
• Applied understanding of database architecture and taxonomy development concepts
• Understanding of purchasing methods and inventory management concepts in a distribution and production environment
• Proven application of PIM development and maintenance
• Strong analytical skills – specifically analysis across data sets from different systems
• Able to manage disparate work flows simultaneously
• Detail oriented
• Structured Query Language (SQL) proficiency is a plus
• Builds strong partnerships with colleagues and suppliers
• Demonstrates agility and commitment when responding to customer needs

Work Environment: 

• Office environment: no adverse environmental conditions expected
• Less than 20% travel – industry events, supplier facilities, internal meetings
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

• Base Salary between $85,000 and $110,000
