The impact you'll have at Genesis:

Under the direction of the payment processing supervisor, a Payment Processor specializes in the timely, accurate data-entry of payments, the processing of returned payments, the research and resolution of payment investigations, completing a daily electronic deposit and processing credit balance refund requests according to department guidelines.

Responsibilities

As our Payment Processor you will:

• Process payments quickly, accurately and within compliance regulation.
• Research and resolve unidentified payments.
• Process reversals on accounts with returned payments.
• Research account overpayments and prepare refund requests.
• Complete a daily deposit using a desktop check scanner.
• Work and resolve payment research cases within compliance timelines.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with check handling and completing deposits.
• Basic accounting knowledge preferred.
• Superior oral and written communication skills.
• Strong focus on attention to detail essential.
• Ability to work independently.
• Proficient in MS Office including Excel, Access and Word.
• Strong 10-key and typing skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to change.
• Working knowledge of TSYS, M-Files and Artiva.
