Position Title: Mine SurveyorLocation: Green River, WYKey Responsibilities:Supports safe operations, has the “courage to care” and complies to all safety policiesProactively identifies opportunities for cost savings and supports cost reduction initiativesSupports operational discipline by following daily standard work processes and KPI reporting Supports and participates in problem-solving processes Committed to open and honest communication and adherence to company core valuesAll Bore Miner development sightsAll Recovery/extraction measurements & calculations Check SurveysAccountability for the Mine MapReport landlord tons & mine tonnage by section mining sitesSurveying mine projects; construction, etc.Measure mining progressSecondary and primary surveysAnnual subsidence contours for mine (DEQ, BLM)CAD computer drawings; miscellaneous draftingLongwall equipment layout in new section Activities: Update mine map as changes occur and the mine advances; maintain those changes in the CAD system.Provide Section Cut MapsMine air quality & quantity measurementsCalculate mine tons by landlordMark/Install belt points, hanger spots, laser sitesSurvey mine floor elevations & create contour mapsAssist sampling (rock mech, water, vent, etc.) and other duties as assigned.Install miscellaneous sights, stations, construction, etc.Provide cut maps to Mine Services Department as needed for construction projectsSurvey surface drill holes, pipelines, & construction projects as neededEstablish LW retreat footage marksComplete drafting as necessary for engineering staff Skill, Capability and Educational Requirements: Associate of Science in Land Surveying/Geomatics ORHigh school education with 5 years surveying experience, underground experience strongly preferred. AutoCAD and Carlson Underground Software experience preferredFinal determination on pay grade will be made by HR and company leadership holistically considering the candidate’s education, experience, past performance, demonstrated leadership and influence.
