GenesisConsulting has an immediate opportunity for a Senior UX Designer/Researcher towork on a cross-functional team working closely with government stakeholders fora Federal client in the Washington, DC, area to make sure government sharedservices prioritize customer experience. Duties andResponsibilities:

The Sr. UX Designer/Researcher will support the modernization of a government shared service,incorporating an agile, human-centered design approach . The designer will haveexperience interfacing with clients and stakeholders and will exhibit excellentcommunication and leadership qualities. Other duties include but may notbe limited to: 

• Definingcustomer and user experience requirements and performance metrics forenterprise-wide service delivery across all channels, modes, and methods ofservice delivery.
• Reviewingprior user assessment and research studies. Developing plans for updating andexpanding upon this research to finalize the Time & Expense Solutionrequirements and performance metrics.
• Recommendingappropriate metrics and methods for assessing customer satisfaction and anyrelated performance incentives/ assessments.
• Developingservice analysis maps for distinct customer experiences and user personas,incorporating a) all stages of a customer experience inclusive of the PMO andfuture provider services and b) services/technologies used from implementationthrough operational delivery phases. Prepare acquisition document content asapplicable to align performance outcomes w/ customer experience goals andoutcomes.
• Contributingto customer / user experience design, vendor evaluation, application andtechnical architectures and platforms.
• Developingrelated communications material to garner leadership and stakeholder alignmentand endorsement.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

• Experience conductinghuman-centered design, end-to-end experience projects for enterprise-wideFederal and/or commercial services.
• Design for multiple channelsincluding websites, mobile applications, documents, phone calls, emails,messaging, etc.
• Experience with the USWeb Design System (USWDS) design principles, standards, protocols and requirements.
• Conduct service designanalyses, identifying met and unmet needs.
• Develop blueprints tooperationalize service delivery processes to organize the people,infrastructure, processes, and technology needed to deliver a streamlinedexperience resulting in high customer satisfaction outcomes.
• Experience conductingstakeholder and end-user interviews
• Experience conductingtask-based usability testing with end-users
• Have a minimum of five(5) years of experience in the Information Technology field focusing onengineering projects with specific Business and UX Design.
• Experiencewith 508 Compliance testing
• Solidunderstanding of usability best practices and technology landscape
• Strongcommunication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
• Knowledgeof best practices for interaction design for cross-platform devices andapplications
• Possessionof excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to interactwith team members at all levels, including upper management
• Abilityto multi-task in a fast-paced agile environment

Minimum Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, GraphicDesign, Visual Communications
