Description

General Kinematics is the premier manufacturer of vibrating equipment for the processing of bulk materials. From vibratory feeders to entire process systems, General Kinematics creates the solutions customers require to process even the most difficult materials. We are currently looking for a qualified Engineer Intern to join our team.

Candidates may work in the Design, Controls (Electrical Engineering), Production or Applications Engineering departments. 

Expected Intern Learning

• Component design with CAD.
• Design experiments.
• Applied physics. Learn about basic energy conversion methods and mechanical machine design.
• Connection between engineering and business/market needs.
• Perform essential stress/strain/vibratory and deflection analyses using a variety of calculations, and computer tools including Finite Element Analysis.
• Assist in the development on new market initiatives.
• Work will be project based and at the completion of the internship - you will be required to present your findings to a team.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering - completed junior year by May 2023 (or Electrical Engineering for Controls Engineer).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Exposure to CAD systems.
• Innate curiosity and the ability to problem solve.
